When we speak, we create. We create connection, we create action, we create impact. Let’s begin by creating impact within ourselves.
The use of the words “I am” is powerful. When you speak, “I am,” you are come into agreement with what follows. “I am…” whether it be “I am tired,” or, “I am grateful.” Our mind and our body connect and absorb the given notion with fortitude. We speak life – or not – over ourselves. Knowing this is powerful, because it brings awareness to the impact of our words and the trajectory they create over our minds, our bodies and our lives.
“I am successful,”
“I am healthy,”
“I am thankful.”
For example, saying “Tiredness, is passing through me, and therefore I need to rest,” allows the mind and body to peacefully move through the phase you may be experiencing in that moment. It is not a harsh, firm or definitive label placed upon the mind and body. We must learn to thoughtfully consider how we speak over ourselves in a healing, healthy, and positive manner.
In small increments, we can move through more challenging moments, with peace and grace. To learn to speak life with a positive, tender and soulful nature. To cultivate personal awareness, strength and growth of self. To shift our minds toward greater emotional depth and understanding. It is powerful to understand that the words you choose to speak over yourself can either help – or hinder – your growth and development.
“I will move through this.”
“I will understand this.”
“This may be a challenge now, but as I continue to learn and study, I am, and I will, gain understanding.”
“I am learning.”
“I am getting stronger.”
Change the dialogue. Change the mindset. Your mind follows your words.
This is a beautiful exercise to apply throughout your day. Practice honoring your mind, your language, and the words you speak over yourself.
Move toward a more self-aware, self-disciplined and gentle mindset.
“I am ready.”
Are you?
